Food and Body

My motivation in Well of Being and beyond is to help people restore a deeply loving and compassionate connection with their body and to live a life free from rules and habits around food, whatever your past experience has been.

Having experienced Anorexia Nervosa, myself for 15 years, I know first-hand the struggles of living with a difficult relationship with food. I am also fortunate to know the joy of living beyond Anorexia and into a life of freedom from fearful thoughts about food and weight.

I believe deeply that anyone can experience a positive, loving, and compassionate relationship with their body and food, no matter how long they may have suffered. It is my aim to support you to rediscover that positive, loving and trusting relationship with your body and thrive again.

So, how can I help?

Sarah Parker - Well of Being

Around The Table: A 6-week Guided Group Coaching Programme

This holistic 6-week guided programme will guide you through the core elements which are central to changing your relationship with food and your body forever.

Each week we will come together for 90 minutes to explore some of the key features involved in developing a loving, nurturing and thriving relationship with food, weight and body.

The course will include a short video each week to watch about the key elements before the sessions. In the sessions there will be opportunities to explore your experiences and responses to each element, with opportunities for coaching each week.

1:1 Therapy

I recognise that group work isn’t everyone’s preference and so if you prefer to have individual sessions with me, we will create a package together tailored entirely to your individual needs and hopes.

We can meet as often as is best for you, and for as long as therapy is beneficial to you. All these decisions will be thought about and designed around you, with your hopes and needs at the forefront of every decision.

Individual therapy will help you to explore in a safe, welcoming and accepting space the beliefs that have got in the way of you realising your wellbeing and start to open up the world of resilience, clarity and freedom that is there within you.

It may be that as well as 1:1 therapy, you wish to attend the group too. That is fine – I want your experience within Well of being to be as beneficial to you as possible.

Around The Table: Creating a thriving relationship with food and your body

This is our free-to-join Facebook community. The group is a closed group which is designed to motivate, support and encourage anyone who has a difficult relationship with food and their body. There are opportunities to ask questions, share triumphs and struggles, or learn from the sharing of others in the group. We would love to have you join us.

Talks and Workshops

If you or your organisation would like to learn more about eating disorders, food and weight issues, what creates and exacerbates a difficult relationship with food and our bodies, and how to best support anyone who is struggling, please get in touch for a conversation about how I can help with training and workshops tailored to your needs.

Testimonials

Christina BrittainIntuitive Counsellor and Coach, San Diego, CA, USA
Sarah Parker is an exceptional find. If you have found her, you are very lucky. There are so many practitioners available, yet relatively few that are so profoundly present. And rarer still to find one who is calmly and absolutely SURE that you are whole, right now. She doesn’t just believe that you are healthy and worthy of enormous celebration - she knows it with all of her being. It really is the ground of her reality. She also happens to be kind, gentle, fun and totally authentic! She doesn’t have any need to be anything other than the human she is, which to me is a profound embodiment of our innate “okayness” as we are. I can sense that deep self love and acceptance from her, and by proxy, in myself. Conversations with Sarah bring openness, fresh air and ease. Time with her is such a pleasurable journey of co-discovery. It’s like taking an amazing ride with a dear friend through the country side of yourself.

Coaching with Sarah is like being wrapped in a cosy safe blanket of compassion. Whilst she carefully leads you on the path to your true nature, she makes sure that she meets you in where you are in your experience, so you feel completely heard and understood at all times. Sarah’s energy is so special, she is so kind and gentle and oh so very humorous! I feel completely uplifted at the end of every session. My experience of life has changed in such a dramatic way over the past year, I can clearly see that my habits of people pleasing and taking responsibility for everything led to me living in a constant state of worry. Life was exhausting for me. However, I was lucky enough to stumble across this beautiful understanding. I can’t quite put into words how much Sarah’s coaching has helped me understand who we truly are and the freedom that has given me! I promise you….coaching with Sarah is a gorgeous experience!

Feeling like I wanted to talk to someone but no idea where to start, my friend recommended I get in touch with Sarah at Well of Being. Very apprehensively I sent an email enquiring, not sure what I was getting into. From the get go, Sarah was the kindest, warmest person you could wish for when you aren’t feeling your best. Just a lovely, honest person to open up to. You feel instantly at ease. I would recommend Sarah the world over, the advice, service and professionalism you receive is second to none, all while feeling like talking to an old friend over coffee.

Sarah Parker is an incredibly kind, patient, wise coach who sees the health in all people, no matter what they are struggling with; so much so, that talking with her begins to allow you to see and feel your own health and wisdom. Sarah has a laser sharp way of seeing what's behind her clients' suffering. If my own family member was struggling with anorexia or other food issues, I would point them toward Sarah without question. She has a loving way of pointing you back to your own clarity. Have a conversation with her and you will see for yourself!
